Our Principal

Welcome to Hampton East School - Excellence in Inclusive Education.

A school for P-12 students with a mild to moderate Intellectual Disability.

Welcome to Our Growing School Community

Now in our third year, we are proud to continue providing a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for P-12 students with a mild to moderate Intellectual Disability.

It is with great excitement that we reflect on our journey and the strong foundation we have built together. As a dedicated community of students, staff, and families, we have established our school’s name, logo, brand, values, and pedagogical approach—creating a place where every child can learn and thrive.

As Principal, with over 20 years of experience, I am privileged to lead our vibrant school, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all. Our commitment remains steadfast in delivering a comprehensive curriculum with a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy. Students follow the Victorian Curriculum in Years P-10 and transition to the Victorian Pathway Program (VPC) Foundation Curriculum or the ASDAN Curriculum in the Senior Years. Additionally, they engage in specialist subjects such as Physical Education, Swimming, Art, Digital Technology, and Food Technology. We continue to support students’ future pathways through careers and transition programs, with Individual Learning Plans tailored to each student’s needs.

Enrolment eligibility requires students to be funded under the Disability Inclusion Model in the category of Intellectual Disability, with an IQ between 50 and 70.

Committed to the Child Safe Standards, we prioritise the rights and safety of our students. If you would like to learn more about our school or explore enrolment opportunities, please contact our administration team to discuss eligibility and arrange a tour.

We look forward to welcoming you to our thriving school community!

Yours sincerely,
Juliet Cooper
