Juniors
At Hampton East School, our dedicated teachers strive to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to be creative, socially confident, and motivated to achieve their best.
Students in the Junior sub school are aged 5 to 12 years, they learn in a nurturing and structured setting designed to support their individual growth. Our teachers foster a positive and productive atmosphere, where all children are encouraged to develop their communication and independence skills, embrace new challenges, and take responsibility for their learning and behaviour.
Our curriculum follows the Victorian Curriculum offering a broad range of age-appropriate programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. We have strong emphasis on developing real life skills to support students to become as independent as possible.
The Junior Sub School is structured around Early Years Literacy (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) and Numeracy programs. These core areas involve daily teaching blocks, continuous assessment, and engaging, innovative activities that reflect best teaching practices.
